Western Piedmont Community College is seeking a Coordinator/Instructor, Welding Technology
Under the direction of the Dean and Department Head, the program coordinator’s primary purpose is the planning and operational aspects of the program and to insure the viability, currency and integrity of the program. The coordinator position is a teaching position and may carry a full teaching load in addition to responsibilities as program coordinator.
Courses to instruct may include:
• Cutting Processes
• SMAW (stick) Plate / Pipe
• SMAW (stick) Plate
• GTAW (TIG) Plate/Pipe
• GMAW (MIG) FCAW/Plate
• Fabrication 1
• GMAW (TIG) Plate
• Certification Practices
• Symbols and Specifications
• Inspection & Testing

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Welding Technology or closely related field is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Welding Technology, Technology, Engineering or closely related field preferred.
- Certification(s) from the American Welding Society (AWS) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of related industrial experience required.
- Teaching experience preferred.
Salary: Hiring Range – Minimum to Midpoint ($4,234 – 5,552/monthly) 9-month contract
