Children's Church Pastor
Children's Church Pastor* (CCP)
Yearly salary range is $18,200.00 - $23,400.00
JOB DESCRIPTION
First and foremost, the CCP must have been saved by the grace of God and live his life in a manner that would represent the kingdom of God as well as WCBC. In time he will need to become a member of WCBC by church vote and be doctrinally sound, adhering to the same doctrines that are taught in the sanctuary. He must commit to spending time in prayer for the program as well as the individual children within the program. The CCP will be responsible for preparing a weekly message and planning the order of service to include but not limited to singing, offering, prayer, etc. The service should mirror the adult service in the sanctuary. If the CCP chooses to read from any version of the Bible that is not KJV then it must be followed up by reading the KJV also.
1. The CCP will need to enlist volunteers from the WCBC congregation to help visit the local neighborhoods to promote and encourage the children to come. CCP will be responsible for children's bus ministry, to include but not limited to organizing bus drivers, monitors and volunteers. Children from ages 5 to 12 would attend the children's church while all others would be in the nursery or the sanctuary. The CCP will need to follow-up with all attendees and help mentor all new converts.
2. The CCP would be expected to attend all other regular and special church services including but not limited to Parents Night Out, VBS, etc.
3. Each month the CCP will meet with the Pastor and the support team for the initial 12-month period to evaluate the program and make changes as needed. All activities outside of the normal operation of service must be approved by the Pastor and support team.
4. The CCP must pass a background check as required by the church's insurance company prior to working with any children, and at current intervals set by the deacon board.
5. CCP should have experience working with children ages 5-12 i.e., VBS, children's church, Sunday school, etc. Being able to obtain the proper licensing to operate the bus would be a plus.
6. This program is in no wise limited to just the Sunday morning service time as it can be expanded as the CCP feels would be beneficial to other service times to include other times such as Sunday evening and Wednesday evening or any other day or time that would work better.
7. The CCP would also be in charge of the Sunday Evening youth services for ages 13-18.
