Job Description Summary

The Campus Recreation Building Supervisor is the primary responder to all issues with the Wake Forest University Wellbeing Center. These individuals oversee the daily operations and staffing of the facility to ensure that all personnel are completing the required duties, and that all patrons and users are adhering to the policies set forth by Campus Recreation. The Building Supervisor oversees the facility to ensure that it remains a safe and inclusive environment at all times.

Job Description

Essential Functions:
  • Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment in the Wellbeing Center
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the 185,000 sq/ft Wellbeing Center
  • Supervise and ensure that all Facility Operations staff are completing their assigned tasks and duties in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Serve as the primary risk manager for all accidents and emergencies
  • Effectively report issues, questions, comments, and concerns of the Wellbeing Center that arise by completing a shift log every shift as well as reporting staffing issues that arise (i.e. no shows, tardiness, out of uniform, etc.)
  • Responsible for Cracking and reporting facility issues (i.e. damaged equipment, cleanliness of spaces, etc.) to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
  • Enforce the policies and procedures of Campus Recreation and the Wellbeing Center
  • Maintain working knowledge of Campus Recreation department programs and offerings
  • Assist with set-ups and teardowns for various sports, student organizations, and events
  • Attend all staff meetings and required trainings
  • Responsible for all essential functions of all Facility Staff and other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Must maintain a First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or be able to obtain within a designated time
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and one weekend per month
  • Arrive to shift at least 5 minutes early and in proper uniform
  • Effectively communicate issues with shifts in a timely manner
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as demanded by the nature of the business, as shifts and schedules
  • May vary throughout the year ( i.e. summer and academic year breaks - spring, fall, winter, etc.)
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
