About VCME

The Valley Consortium for Medical Education (VCME) located in Modesto, California was founded as a non-profit, structured entity with four (4) stakeholders: Doctors Medical Center, Sutter Memorial Hospital, Golden Valley Health Centers, and Stanislaus County Health Services Agency, providing education experience in inpatient/outpatient rotations. Family Medicine residents focus their outpatient training at our two (2) Federally-Qualified Look-alike/Clinics, one of which was recognized as the first federally-funded Teaching Health Center in California, starting in 2010. Inpatient training occurs at Doctors Medical Center, a level 2 Trauma Center with 400+ beds that combines high-quality faculty with high-technology settings to deliver first class training experiences.
