Job Summary

The University of Utah's Energy & Geoscience Institute invites applications for an open position in Research Scientist in the areas of drilling, well construction, hydraulic fracturing and well production – geothermal and other energy applications. We are particularly looking for a candidate with industrial experience.

The position is initially anticipated through December 31, 2024, it may be renewable based upon performance, and availability of funded projects.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Record of relevant research as demonstrated by journal publications, conference presentations, and external funding.

Masters Degree or equivalent at time of hire

Preferences

Experience with well site operations, software packages, and drilling activities.
Excellent writing, communication, and team- working skills.
