Senior Service Supervisor I
Department of University Housing
The Department of University Housing, Housing Services, within the Division of Student Life invites applications for the position of Senior Service Supervisor I. Direct/Supervise custodial work group of (6-19) Service Aide I's, Service Supervisor III's, and temporary seasonal employees.

The Position: Develop employee schedules and task assignments for the delivery of custodial services. Conduct daily quality control inspections of assigned buildings to ensure completion of work assignments and adherence to quality standards. Meet regularly with administrative personnel to review schedules, tasks/projects, and quality control issues. Coordinate hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations for staff in designated facilities. Approve employee time.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory controls and records for custodial supplies and equipment.
- Maintain and order custodial supplies. Receive and verify incoming supply deliveries.
- Train and motivate work group on custodial techniques, tools, equipment, and safety precautions.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications :
What We Require:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Three (3) years supervisory experience in a custodial services operation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong supervisory skills.
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Experience in a large, complex custodial organization; experience within higher education.
- Knowledge of industry standard cleaning methods and practices, and those required by various governmental agencies (OSHA, TOSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Ability to effectively operate custodial equipment and tools, coordinate diverse workforce, handle multiple open projects/tasks simultaneously, and work with tight deadlines and schedules.
