Undergraduate Recruitment Specialist



Job Summary

Represents the University in new student recruitment and participates in the evaluation of applicants. Participates in recruitment activities and projects, both in and out of state.


Essential Functions
  • Serve as primary recruiter of full-time undergraduate students for the Swanson School of Engineering
  • Act as liaison between the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid and the Swanson School of Engineering
  • Analyze data and be proactive in developing creative and effective ways to reach enrollment goals
  • Represent the University at on and off campus recruiting events as well as virtual programming
  • Correspond with prospective students, families and other constituents regarding their interest in the University and related matters
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of Pitt and the Swanson School of Engineering in particular, its programs, admissions requirements and processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students, school and community college counselors and other influencers

Physical Effort

Mobility with regard to travel is essential and a requirement for successful performance in this position. May be required to carry a box of materials (up to 50 lbs).
