The Laboratory of Amanda C. Poholek, Ph.D. is inviting applications for a dedicated and highly motivated postdoctoral research scientist to join her research program in immunology at The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Our research explores the tissue environmental factors that contribute to T cell differentiation and function in settings of allergic asthma and cancer. We are looking for a candidate interested in working on funded projects related to T cell initiation to allergens and transcriptional regulation of T cells in allergic asthma. We use a combination of genetic models combined with NextGen sequencing approaches including spatial transcriptomics to understand the tissue environment that controls T cell responses to allergens. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in immunology and experience in T-cell biology, cellular immunology techniques, and/or allergic asthma. Additional experience in NGS technologies and computational analysis is encouraged but not required. We encourage candidates with training in other fields with experience they feel is translatable to our studies.
