The Department of Psychology, within the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, invites applications for a Part-Time Instructor to revise, develop, and teach a course in Health Psychology through the University of Pittsburgh’s College of General Studies (CGS) in the Summer 6wk2 session, June 24, 2024, to August 3, 2024. The minimum qualifications are a PhD in Psychology or a related field and experience teaching Health Psychology. Preference will be given to candidates who have previously engaged in remote, online, or distanced teaching; familiarity with learning management systems such as Blackboard or Canvas; and a proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with diverse undergraduate student audiences, including nontraditional and adult students.

The successful candidate will be provided with a master syllabus and other instructional materials and will participate in the Summer 2024 faculty course development cohort, co-led by CGS and Pitt’s Center for Teaching and Learning, to prepare the class for instruction. Small grants for cohort participation are available from CGS on a limited basis.
