Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of this position include regular lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects over 50 lbs, standing or walking with objects over 25 lbs; intermittent sitting at computer workstation for extended periods of time; and occasional risk of back injury from moving, lifting or positioning patient, equipment or materials and risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job.
Shift
Primarily Monday- Friday 8am-5pm with weekend and holiday per department needs.
Job Summary
The Exercise Physiologist will create exercise prescriptions and treatment plans for patients and assume a primary role in delivering and modifying exercise protocols. The exercise physiologist will perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing in accordance with department guidelines. They will provide safe, competent, age specific patient care using national and departmental standards and policies including: coordinate and develop exercise therapy programs; evaluate and treat patients using advanced clinical skills; monitor ECG, blood pressure, and heart rate in response to exercise; document initial evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress notes and any other documentation necessary for the delivery of patient care by end of day of patient visit; educate patients on exercise regime; track patients progress and report to physician director; collaborates and assists with compliance of policies, procedures and standards for the hospital and other accrediting and licensing agencies; serves as a consultant in areas of expertise ensures properly working equipment and adequate supplies are available and utilized in a proper and safe manner for the patient and staff; maintains customer satisfaction as a priority and focus.

The ideal candidate will have patient care experience; the ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects while accurately completing routine functions in a fast paced, high intensity, professional work environment; excellent attention to detail; exceptional planning and organizational skill; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to solve routine problems and manage resources; demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service, time management, and judgment; and respect for diversity.

Preferred Education/Experience
Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology with 6 months patient care experience.
