The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture Food and Environment, department of Plant Pathology seeks a candidate with strong interpersonal and management skills to serve as the Research Specialist Senior. Plant Pathology is a vibrant research community and are leaders in the field. We offer exceptional laboratories and equipment to conduct cutting-edge research in order to serve the practical needs of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.




The Research Specialist Senior position serves a crucial function as intermediary between the Private Investigator and lab personnel and provides essential daily management and oversight of the enterprise. Duties include statistical and bioinformatics data analysis, researching experimental strategies and protocols, providing input on proposals, supervision of lab personnel, oversight of equipment/inventory, and assuring compliance as well as oversight of safety.
