Job Description Summary:
Accounts Payable Specialist will support the KUMC Research Administration Controller and Accounts Payable operations with the processing of daily cash transactions and the reconciliation of the KUMC bank accounts. Other duties may include assisting with Accounts Payable projects as needed.

Job Description:

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like Accounting, Business or Information Technology.

Workday Experience:
  • Two years or more relevant work experience performing accounting functions and pulling accounting reports.
  • Experience utilizing Workday or similar system.


Preferred Qualifications

Work Experience:
  • Two or more years utilizing Workday System's accounting tools.
  • Experience reconciling banks.

Skills:
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of attention to detail.


Responsibilities include:
  • Daily importing of bank transaction into Perceptive Content.
  • Daily reconciliation of bank activity.
  • Daily attaching of backup, and routing to appropriate sources.
  • Posting daily transactions to the GL.
  • Assisting with accounting projects and reports.

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
