Epic Business Intelligence Application Manager - Business Center

POSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists the Epic Cogito department in managing Epic integrated and/or Epic adjacent applications to ensure successful attainment of organization goals and outcomes. Manages daily operations of projects as they relate to these applications. Collaborates with internal and external departments for purposes of project management, project scoping and implementation. Coordinates application projects and is able to provide leadership updates on projects.  Provides technical expertise, project management, technical guidance and direction in the implementation and operation of the application system(s). Organizes and prioritizes application requests and department resources. Manages database connections to and from Epic for use with other applications, in a timely and proficient manner. Oversees the performance and coordinates the tasks of assigned developers and analysts. Individual must maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other UHS staff as well as perform other duties as assigned or defined in the performance evaluation and in the UH policies and procedures.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other work related field is required.  Experience in SQL is required.  Experience as an Epic business intelligence analyst or Epic Clarity report writer preferred but not required.  Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.  Work experience may be substituted for formal education requirement. Will be required to successfully pass the Epic pre-assessment testing if not currently Epic Cogito and Clarity/Caboodle certified and in good standing. Will be required to successfully pass Tableau Desktop certification if not currently Tableau Desktop certified and in good standing. Will be required to successfully pass Tableau Data Analyst certification if not currently Tableau Data Analyst certified and in good standing.
