POSITION: A full-time position is available in Intercollegiate Athletics beginning July 1, 2024. The working title of this assignment is Assistant Women's Basketball Coach with an official title of Assistant Coach. The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.
  • Demonstrated experience and success of all duties listed below.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Commitment to athletic excellence within an academic environment.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules.
  • Prior college coaching experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A master's degree.
  • Demonstrated recruiting experience and success.
  • Demonstrated commitment to support and enhance the diversity and cultural and global awareness of students, faculty, and staff.
DUTIES:
  • Assist the head coach in directing a highly successful program within the guidelines of the University, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), and NCAA Division III.
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention of qualified student athletes consistent with the academic standards of the University. Organize and implement highly effective recruit campus visits.
  • Assist with the care and inventory of equipment for the program.
  • Assist with the promotion of the sport with students, alumni, and members of the community.
  • Assist with promoting program revenue generation related to the program.
  • Participate in department fundraising, camps and clinics and public relations events.
  • Oversee social media platforms for women's basketball that promote the program.
  • Maximize the physical talent of the team through quality teaching and coaching, and the promotion of teamwork.
  • Monitor academic progress by student athletes involving grade reports, study skill development, and counseling.
  • Coordinate team travel and logistics, including vehicles, lodging, and meals.
  • Assist in the development of scouting reports and film analysis.
  • Assume other duties as agreed upon by the Head Coach and Athletics Director. Position will have a secondary duty in the Athletics Department to be determined later based on strengths and interests of candidate.
