The Opportunity

Our Critical Care Medicine division provides care for 6 intensive care units. These ICUs provide extensive training for our students, residents, physician assistants, and fellows.

The critical care medicine division boasts a vibrant, growing academic practice, busy mechanical circulatory support (MCS) and extracorporeal life support (ECLS) programs, and a strong fellowship program. Our faculty provide care for some of the most acutely ill patients in the U.S. with high demand for ECLS and MCS.

Join our community of excellence, working side by side with 88 faculty anesthesiologists, 9 active research faculty, 88 residents, 25 fellows, 75 CRNA/AAs, and a dedicated team of 40+ support and administrative staff. Together, we foster an environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.

Your clinical skills and expertise will play a pivotal role in providing patient care at UF Health's premier facilities, including UF Health Shands Hospital, UF Health Heart & Vascular Hospital, and UF Health Shands Cancer Center Hospital. Our coverage includes 6 ICUs comprised of a total of 140+ beds.

Minimum Requirements:

This position requires skills in clinical care, research, and/or education, ABA certification/eligibility, and credentials to obtain a State of Florida physician's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong clinical skills, dedication to patient care, and a passion for advancing the field of anesthesiology through research and scholarly activities are preferred.
