The Fix Project, Long Beach has a vision to be the most reliable provider of high quality, lower cost veterinary and surgical services in Southern California. We offer low cost Spay/Neuter, euthanasia, Dental, low-cost vaccine clinics, Parvo treatment, Urgent Care and Surgical services. We seek to provide outstanding patient care guided by kindness, compassion, and empathy for both pets and owners. Your expertise will benefit animal victims of not only the low income, but from situations of abuse/domestic violence, homelessness, lost and surrendered animals, and other community members in dire need of help. We are newer clinic, open to new ideas and want a great, positive staff member to grow with us while helping local pet owners care for their beloved pets.

Our well-equipped facility features an advanced surgery-only suite, dual prep tables, and sophisticated anesthetic monitoring. We also have top of line radiograph and ultrasound equipment. In addition, we were the first veterinary office to carry Elanco's CPMA to treat the parvo virus and the largest Parvo ICU in southern California. Last year we saw over 425 parvo patients. As such we have a dedicated 24 hour parvo isolation unit.

We are on the boarder of Los Angeles and Orange Counties and less than 1 mile from one of the widest non-wave beaches in California.

Job Description
* Full Time & Part Time Veterinarian
* Team Player, Strong Communicator and most importantly Compassionate
* Proficient in surgery and/or general medicine.
* We are looking for both Veterinarians established in their careers looking for a change from a corporate environment as well as Veterinarians starting their career looking to gain skills and knowledge in wellness appointments as well as surgical. We do not believe in production requirements or turning someone away just because they cannot afford care. We have a nonprofit and work with many organizations and non-profits to help facilitate payment for patient care.
* Daily tasks include surgeries on injured animals, treating wounds, spay/neuter and prescribing medication. Perform routine wellness exams, develop and implement effective treatment plan for various health issues. We are seeking skilled and compassionate Veterinarians that can work with our team to have positive outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications
* Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university and Active Veterinary State License
* Current DEA License or obtained upon hire and ability to hold premise permit
