Essential Functions
The primary professional responsibilities of instructional faculty are teaching, research, scholarship, and service to the University, profession, and community. Specific duties include teaching graduate courses in an in-person and/or online format, such as Psychological Testing, Assessment and Intervention, Consultation in the Workplace, and other related courses; coordinating the school psychology program, including continued development and improvement of the program and maintaining standards related to accreditation; providing admissions and academic advisement of school psychology students; supervising school psychology students and coordination of internships with school-based site supervisors; supervising student research and/or serving on graduate research committees; involvement in research activities and engagement in university and community service roles.

Minimum Qualifications

Earned doctorate in school psychology or closely related field is required; however, applicants nearing completion of the doctorate may be considered. For appointment, the doctorate must be completed by August 1, 2024.
Licensure (or licensure eligible) as a school psychologist in the state of Tennessee.
Documented experience working in the field of school psychology, including practicum and/or internship experience.
Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and mentorship.
Commitment to working effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Earned doctorate in school psychology or closely related field from a NASP, CAEP, or APA accredited program.
Evidence of qualified experience in academic and/or behavioral assessment and interventions, ethics and law, special education, and/or multi-tiered systems of support.
Evidence of successful university teaching experience in one or more of the following content areas: cognitive, behavioral, and/or academic assessment; applied behavior analysis; school consultation; and/or research and program evaluation.
Documented record of research, scholarly, and/or service activity as they relate to school psychology, including evidence of peer-reviewed publications.
Documented experience with integrating technology in teaching and learning, including but not limited to teaching hybrid or online courses and incorporating interactive class activities using technology.
Documented experience with field or university supervision in school psychology or related discipline.

Work Hours:

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position to begin August 2024.
