The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking a Mail Handler for the Centralized Infractions Bureau. The successful candidate will receive, sort, and deliver mail and supplies, retrieve and deliver materials to various locations, deliver bank deposits, perform routine clerical duties such as filing, ordering, and maintaining supplies, store and receive records, assist in the records destruction program, and maintain and update loose-leaf publications, etc. The candidate may operate simple office/production equipment such as postage meters, copiers, collators, and video equipment, may assist in shipping materials, may proofread publications, may respond to public inquiries, and perform other related duties as required.

In-state travel is required. Candidates must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license and the ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.

This position is Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week.

Salary Range: $38,466 - $48,591 – plus State of Connecticut benefits.

New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing state employees may be higher than the minimum, in accordance with existing Judicial Branch policy.
