Job Summary

This is a FTTT Faculty position.  Salary will be comensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the introductory and advanced levels and contribute to the General Biology curriculum. Involve undergraduate and/or Master’s level students in publication-worthy research. Provide service to the Department, School, University, and community. Serve as an academic advisor and professional mentor to Biology students.

Authority and Accountability

This faculty member reports to the chair of biological sciences, Dr. Elizabeth Emmert.  This faculty member does not have budgetary responsibility or authority over other SU employees.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a relevant area of Biological Sciences or closely related science and must provide evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and research. Applicants with expertise in all subdisciplines of Molecular/Cellular Biology will be considered. Applicants must have effective written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Post-doctoral research and/or teaching experience is preferred.
