ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER

Main Responsibilities:
- Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions. Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
- Responsible for developing and implementing HMI programming, and AutoCAD Electrical schematics in accordance with R.A Jones standards.
- Develops HMI solutions that create a user-friendly look and feel.
- Supports various departments with HMI design and AutoCAD electrical schematic creation
- Assists in the start-up of new equipment and HMI checkout.
- Assists in providing technical and functional guidance to other employees.
- Collaborates with various engineers and CAD drafters as required to design electrical controls based on customer specifications.
- Maintain HMI programming and electrical schematics throughout the entire project.
- Accountable for achieving all assigned engineering tasks and objectives within the established strategy, ensures functionality while meeting specifications.
- Keeps leaders informed on status of assigned projects and notifies them when desired outcomes cannot be met.
- Works with immediate supervision reporting to manager.
Requirements:
- Requires a B.S. in related engineering discipline or experience equivalent required.
- Understands the design concept and theory of operation of various product lines and variables that can be introduced by product variations, collation, and transfer systems.
- Strong knowledge of structured text programming languages.
- Working knowledge of electrical components and systems; their uses and application in the manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of automation and packing machine.
- Able to electronically design detailed drawings, such as wiring diagrams, panel layout drawings, cable routing and charts, and electrical component lists is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering design drafting principles is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, related codes and standards is preferred.
- Ability to design schematics in both JIC and DIN formats is preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial networks such as Ethernet, RIO/DH+, ControlNet, Modbus, and DeviceNet.
