Job Description Summary

The Clinical Coordinator provides administrative oversight, supervision, and staff training to assure successful program development, implementation, and assessment. The Clinical Coordinator also provides therapeutic interventions that help adults and children to overcome barriers that impede the achievement of their wildly ambitious educational and career goals. This position is funded by a grant with the Prince George's County Department of Social Services serving families that face economic insecurity.

This grant-funded position is scheduled to end on 6-30-2024 and is usually renewed each year but not guaranteed.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Master's Degree required.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • 2 years' experience in clinical case management, program development, sustainability, and performance management

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Maintains an in-depth understanding of federal and state regulations regarding Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) and other safety net programs for families facing economic insecurity.
  • Develops relationships with key offices, and is conversant about the services available at PGCC, and local universities.
  • Assist with ensuring staff compliance with PGCC policies and procedures
  • Attend community resource fairs and/or other networking opportunities if available
  • Meet with Director for check-ins regarding organizational and unit goals/objectives.
  • Maintain a working relationship with identified community partners.
  • Attend meetings with other state, county agencies, and local non-profit and faith-based organizations.
  • Provide supervision, support, and consultation to clerical staff.
  • Completes administrative duties and collaborates with other members of the managerial team as necessary to accomplish unit objectives.
  • Serve as the task supervisor (where necessary) for non-licensed therapists and clinical externs/interns
  • Provide direct, clinical treatment (where necessary), including but not limited to, managing appropriate documentation such as Individual Development Plans (IDP) and making appropriate referrals, etc.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documenting case files within a timely manner
  • Assist Director in developing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations as well as College policy.
  • Provide management for the daily operations of the transition navigators in collaboration
  • Assist Director with managing client and outcome tracking for the unit.
  • Use outcome data to manage staff and program performance in collaboration with Director.
  • In collaboration with Director, monitor trends and make informed decisions regarding service delivery.

  • Ability to perform detailed work independently, as well as, in the team environment.
  • Knowledge of theoretical orientations and evidenced-based, treatment approaches for children, adolescents, and their families
Job Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
