Assembly positions, 3rd  shift

Starting pay 15.75 at 90 days 16.25.  5 % shift differential, Health Benefits through Blue Cross Blue Shield,

Job Summary  (Primary Function)
Performs a bonding operation of fiberglass parts to produce a hood assembly according to company quality specifications.

Job Responsibilities  (Essential Functions)
1.    Prepares and visually inspects inspect fiberglass parts.
2.    Places fiberglass parts in fixture and do a fit sequence.
3.    Marks location of bond areas on skin.
4.    Perform an alcohol wipe and scuff metal areas with a Scratchbrite material.
5.    Apply glue beads to correct area on parts.
6.    Allow assemble to cure for correct period of time.
7.    Remove part from fixture.
8.    Drill holes in proper location per drill pilots.
9.    Perform all work in a safe manner and in accordance with company safety policies and regulations.
10.    Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
11.    Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements  (Qualification Factors: Skills, Knowledge, Experience, Ability)
1.    SKILL
Education/Trade Knowledge-
•    Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and have basic reading and writing skills.  Must be familiar with company quality standards.
•    Up to three months required to become proficient in most phases of the job.
    Independent Action and Judgement-
•    Require the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two- step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variable.    
2.    EFFORT
Physical Demand - 
•    Sustained physical effort required during the bonding operation with walking.  Bending, pushing and reaching required.  Occasionally moves and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
Mental and/or Visual Demand-
•    Function is routing and repetitive.  Frequent mental and visual attention is required when marking location of bond areas and applying glue.

Responsibilities for equipment/process/material/product/work and safety of others-

  • Reasonable care when operating equipment will prevent damage.
  • Damage to material not likely to occur with normal attention.
  • Works in an areas where injury to others is very slight.
  • Responsible for own work but may coordinate work with others.
  • Exposed to dust and airborne particles. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Following company safety policies and procedures, accidents unlikely outside of minor injuries such as cuts, bruises or abrasions.
