The following position is available at McDowell Technical Community College.
Salary: $15.00 per hour.
Cashier to Business Office (PT, 25-28 hours per week, 8 am to 2 pm Monday-Thursday and 8 am to noon Friday).
Required: Associate degree in Business or related area; cability to handle confidential information; up-to-date computer and technology skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills. See job description for specific duties and knowledge and skills requirements.
Hire date: February 2 or February 9, 2020.

Under the supervision and direction of the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Cashier performs the following: |

1. Greets and offers assistance to students and individuals entering the Business Office area. 2. Answers questions in person and on the phone regarding Business Office related issues. Cashiering on a daily basis 3. Set Off Debt 4. MTCC Payment Plan 5. 1098-T’s 6. Process Mail Outgoing/Incoming in the Business Office and at UAMC. 7. Approve Transcripts 8. Assists with room scheduling for classes and insures rooms are set up properly for appropriate class(es). 9. Other Duties as assigned |
qualifications |
An Associate in Applied Science Degree in Business or related area required. The person must be dependable and able to handle confidential information. The person must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to work with current and prospective student from all backgrounds effectively. This person must be proficient and up-to-date with computer skills and technology, and willing to attend training sessions periodically. |
