Description
The Department of Anthropology and Sociology at Lafayette College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in Anthropology for the academic year 2024-2025, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to high quality undergraduate education to teach Introduction to Cultural Anthropology and elective courses that fit within the department's curriculum and their substantive areas of expertise. Area specialties in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East or South Asia, and topical specialties in theory, urban and environmental anthropology, or gender are welcome, but all areas will be considered.

This is a full-time appointment with a 3/3 teaching load. A PhD is required. ABD candidates with a firm completion date by August 2024 will also be considered. We especially welcome applicants who can contribute to Lafayette's commitment to greater diversity and inclusion. This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
