Haverford College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology in Social Psychology for the 2024-2025 academic year, with the possibility for renewal for a second year.
The Department of Psychology at Haverford College anticipates hiring a full-time (equivalent of a total five courses across the year) Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology in Social Psychology for the 2024-2025 academic year. There is the possibility for renewal for a second year pending a successful review and continued department staffing needs. Candidates whose expertise also intersects with Cultural Psychology or Diversity Psychology, or who are able to teach Introductory Psychology, are especially encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will be able to teach effectively at all levels of the psychology curriculum, including introductory, intermediate, and advanced seminar courses in their area of expertise. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to engaging a diverse student body and creating an inclusive classroom environment in a liberal arts context.
The position begins September 1, 2024 for the fall semester of 2024, and it is expected that the Ph.D. will be completed prior to the start date (but ABD candidates will be considered).
