The Opportunity
Responsible for advancing the implementation, use, and continuous improvement for timberland, farmland and property management business information systems, workflows and usage. Assisting in system implementation project work and acting as an expert, the role will also provide business analysis and aid the ideation to implementation process to achieve maximum value and fit-for-purpose solutions.

- Reports to Business Support Manager
- Supports Operations and other property management business teams.
- Leads business analysis and provides direct project management.
- Collaborates with strategic innovation and information technology teams.
- Remote support; help desk incident management.
Individual Responsibilities:
- Leads helpdesk/incident support for internal customer's use of business systems including the company's Esri GIS platform.
- First point of contact for support, logs incident, and resolves course of action
- Provides training for business systems primarily Esri GIS platform: Evaluates training needs, develops training material, conducts training sessions. Ensures training and documentation are current with system\business changes.
- Communications and PR with internal Operations staff
- Continuous improvement of resource information systems
- Project planning and development of project plans
- Become a guide to the business on existing systems and future potential solutions
- Develop business analysis artifacts such as business requirements, process design, models and project charters
- Coordinate efforts between business and technical teams to conduct evaluations of COTS software and enterprise technologies to meet business needs.
- Lead the essential business organizational change and communications for global transformation initiatives
- Identifies improvements on procedures and workflows
- Stay up to date with newest technologiess and ndustry standards
Shared Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with IT on the implementation of new or improved workflows and resource information:
- Recommends and implements collaboration strategy with collaborators ensuring nput is incorporated into the solution; ensures collaborators are informed on progress and resolution.
- Recommends and implements testing schemes for system improvements.
- Advises on IT on business issue priorities
- Administers corporate business system master data
- Special projects as requested.
What are we looking for
- A Bachelor's degree in forestry, agriculture, geography, or related disciplines.
- Three or more years of business relevant company service or relevant industry experience.
- High-level knowledge and experience with enterprise GIS technology (Esri), SQL, business systems, and helpdesk incident management.
- Knowledge of timberland and farmland resource information and decision support.
- Strong service / customer support orientation.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and applies judgment that involves filtering, analysis, validation then interpretation of dynamic information from various sources; takes new perspective on existing solutions.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills
- Business analysis experience, with a history of effective development and drafting of business requirements and business processes
- Solid understanding of Information Technology operations and application development; particularly in the context of the natural resources industry
