Community Health Workers (CHW)

The CHW will primarily be working in the Danville and Pittsylvania County communities, providing social support and informal counseling, advocating for individuals' and community health needs, and providing basic health screenings. Basic data analytics, preparing reports, provider education, and related tasks. Organization and time management proficiencies are a must. Grant funded position with Competitive benefits and compensation package.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must be friendly, flexible, proficient in written and verbal communication, professional appearance and demeanor. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

* High school diploma or its equivalent
* Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and knowledge of some medical terminology preferred, or comparable job skills accepted.
* Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team.
* Verifiable good driving record and reliable transportation required
