Job Summary

Serves as a Sr Field Service Representative (FSR) for United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) to enable Special Operations Forces (SOF) exploitation activities through current exploitation Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) training. Manages, conducts, and trains in biometric equipment operation, software use/updates, and data processing procedures for SOF site exploitation activities at various locations outside the continental U.S. (OCONUS). Performs computer forensics exploitation analysis for captured enemy materials including, but not limited to dissemination of latent fingerprints, digitized latent prints, forensic reports, and production statistics for management status reporting.
  • Develops and maintains course curriculum, and presents training programs in sensitive site exploitation (SSE), document exploitation (DOCEX), media exploitation (MEDEX) and cellular device exploitation (CELLEX) for various civilian and military audiences.
  • Manages and provides training and instructions on developing tactics, techniques, procedures (TTP) and workflow coordination for the acquisition, exploitation, analysis, integration, and intelligence report production specific to DOMEX and MEDEX operations.
  • Designs, prepares, and implements appropriate physical and visual aids, and instructional material to engage students in real-time/hands-on exercises and activities, utilizing DOMEX best practices, and field expedient MEDEX and CELLEX tools.
  • Incorporates and imparts current and historical DOMEX/MEDEX trends theory and methodologies throughout instruction activities.
  • Sets up, configures, maintains and utilizes the SSE biometric and forensic equipment for SOCOM program of record.
  • Maintains and provides operational support for SSE and biometrics systems to include but not limited to: Support Document and Media Exploitation (DOMEX) for computers, internal and external data storage, media and or media devices.
  • Provides necessary support for Digital Media and CELLEX processing/analytical capability support at Fort Bragg, NC and overseas.
  • Maintains and provides support for exploitation analysis center (EAC) equipment/shelter, materials, chain of custody paperwork and collection/submission techniques. Provides support in the evidence handling, bagging, tagging and preservations. Completes military forms. Performs digital photography, tool marks and impression ID. Conducts improvised explosive device (IED) post blast collection/analysis and bulk chemistry collection/analysis.
  • Maintains and supports SSE/biometrics equipment including but not limited to the following brands: ADF Triage G2, FRED-L w/ENCASE, MSAB XAMIN versions. Supports recent biometric systems that includes MSAB Spotlight; SIMEX; SEEK I, II; Guardian-R scanner; Northrop Grumman BIOSLED; RapidHIT; ANDE; CELLEBRITE, SPEKTOR; STRIKE; FTK (File Carver); ULW (Enrollment Observation); SOFEX; JFAASTEL. Performs test kits, NIK kits, pH & colorimetric tests.
  • Partners with other instructors/subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure continuity of instruction materials and delivery methods.
  • Describes and differentiates the modalities as listed in SOFEX and explains how to separate collections to each specific modality. Provides SME consultation, research evaluation, and recommendation activities (reach-back support) related to project specific equipment, technologies, and processes.
  • Evaluates trainee learning through examination/testing activities to ensure knowledge and skills based competency.
  • Maintains current knowledge of in new identity intelligence equipment, TTP, training requirements, data sources, and production requirements.
  • Accesses the Biometric Enabled Watch List (BEWL) and the update schedules for each list. Generates the Watch List and installs it into BIOSLED and SEEK devices.
  • Coordinates with other theater team members and CONUS SOCOM identity intelligence to provide support to SOF. Understands the equipment used within the Exploitation Analysis Center (EAC) and provide operational support.
Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree in intelligence, computer science, law enforcement, or forensic science related fields and 2 years of experience; OR four (4) years of military experience, training/education and related experience required; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Departmental Requirements
  • Experience in DOMEX analysis/forensic intelligence.
  • Experience providing training or instruction in DOMEX processes/sensitive site exploitation tactics and techniques.
  • Experience conducting cell phone exploitation and extracting pertinent data using cell phone analysis tools.
  • Experience in biometric or forensic operational collection or analytical experience in DoD.
Desired Qualifications

Certificate(s) of Completion in biometric technologies used for identity intelligence such as DNA analysis, computer and cellular phone exploitation, fingerprint lifting/identification, and trace element detection.
