Position Purpose
To work closely with Supervising Faculty and staff to ensure effective delivery of MPH curriculum by supporting presentations, discussion groups, student evaluations and student feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of specific course content through satisfactory completion of course or equivalent course work or experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Master of Public Health degree.
- Previous experience in teaching, assistant teaching, or tutoring desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including listening skills.
- Consistently maintains a positive, patient, and encouraging attitude with students.
- Ability to provide tactful oral and written feedback.
- Ability to explain concepts and facilitate small group discussions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to demonstrate specific course-related software features for students, which may include Canvas, Zoom, Stata, RevMan, or EndNote.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Attention to detail.
- Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.

- Works closely with course faculty and program staff to develop and evaluate assignments and associated homework. 20%
- Conducts and facilitates group discussions by encouraging critical analysis and evidence-based dialogue. 5%
- Provides students assistance through tutoring and coaching. 10%
- Assists course faculty with evaluating students' work (e.g., offering feedback and assigning grades), including individual and group assignments, examinations, participation, and attendance. 40%
- Attends course sessions and assists instructor in class management (e.g., dividing class into appropriate groupings, facilitating discussions among students, answering students' questions, etc.). 15%
- May co-teach some sessions as appropriate. 5%
- Supports class and classroom logistics. 5%
