Systems Administrator
Dakota Wesleyan University is seeking a self-motivated and conscientious individual to fill the position of Systems Administrator. The position is responsible for maintenance and technical support of servers, applications, backups, network infrastructure, network storage, VoIP infrastructure and instructional technologies. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems.
System Administrators will be expected to be prompt, reliable, and able to follow written and verbal instructions. This position requires face to face, email, and telephone communication. The Systems Administrator will be expected to interact with faculty, staff and students with respect and courtesy, deliver excellent customer service and have a commitment to the mission of DWU and the values of learning, leadership, faith, and service.
Qualifications: Associate's Degree or greater, MCSA certification, equivalent experience or certification preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in the support of servers and network technologies. A strong knowledge of the deployment and support of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, WSUS, Enterprise Antivirus, Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), VMWare, Active Directory, DNS, GPO, NAS, Enterprise Data Backup, switches, routers and firewalls. Demonstrated proficiency in Veaam Backup, Palo Alto Firewalls, Barracuda Load Balancer, NetApp storage, MS Azure Storage/Azure Active Directory, Aruba switches, wireless AP’s and controllers, Aruba ClearPass, VoIP protocols and troubleshooting are desired/helpful. Finally, the qualified applicant must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
