Staff Accountant

Implement and maintain blanket pricing for customers and suppliers, billing customer orders, accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable communication and statements, customer or supplier account set-up and compliance, and managing compliance or communication with the outside accounting firm. Conduct monthly financial reporting (financial statements, balance sheet reconciliation) and analysis of results and variances, such as identifying one-time or permanent savings or expenditures and changes in trends. Participate in business expansion activities and provide expertise on cross-currency and multi-jurisdictional accounting implications. Evaluate reporting processes and participate in process improvement pertaining to financial information. Participate in the review of the balance sheet and expense accounts, provide comments on the results, and recommend solutions to improve the process and variance analysis. Prepare month-end journal entries and accruals. Generate transaction reports from various sources, extrapolate data in Excel, and prepare journal entries. Analyze miscellaneous invoices to ensure adequate accruals are in place for the period cut-off. Drive business system changes, focusing on improving efficiencies and cost reductions. Perform various month-end reconciliations, including but not limited to bank, revenue, expense, and GL account reconciliations. Remote work possible (Laptop w/MS 365 provided).

Requires: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant which must have included accounting and auditing of complex financial statements and audit procedures. CPA certification preferred but not essential.
