Caregiver/Housekeeper

We are seeking a compassionate and responsible individual to provide care for our elderly father while we are away. The ideal candidate will also assist with light housekeeping duties and pet care as needed. This position requires patience, reliability, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

1. Companion Care:

   • Keep our father company and engage in conversation.
   • Assist with daily activities, such as reading, watching TV, or going for walks.
   • Provide companionship and emotional support.

2. Personal Care:

   • Assist with basic personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
   • Help with medication reminders as instructed.
   • Ensure a safe environment for our father at all times.

3. Housekeeping:

   • Perform light housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
   • Maintain cleanliness in common areas, such as the living room, kitchen, and bathroom.
   • Change bed linens and tidy up rooms as needed.

4. Meal Preparation:

   • Prepare simple and nutritious meals according to dietary preferences and restrictions.
   • Assist with feeding if required.

5. Pet Care:

   • Provide basic care for pets, including feeding, watering, and letting them out for bathroom breaks.
   • Ensure pets are comfortable and safe in the absence of the family.

6. Communication:

   • Keep open communication with family members regarding any concerns or updates regarding our father's well-being.
   • Report any changes in his condition or behavior promptly.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in caregiving, preferably with elderly individuals.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and pet care.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Reliable and trustworthy with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing situations.
• CPR and first aid certification (preferred but not required).
