Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

Position Description

The Administrative Assistant's primary responsibilities include secretarial and office management, personnel and property management and financial secretary management at Cold Springs UMC.
Organizational and people skills with experience in being an Administrative Assistant, along with familiarity of church life and an understanding of the dynamics of people and ministry is essential. This person must conduct themselves in a professional manner that represents and reflects the mission of Cold Springs Church.

Job Classification:
Professional part-time position at 20 hours/week - in person. (Current office hours 8:00-12:30 Monday-Thursday)

Staff Responsibility:
Accountable to the Senior Pastor and the Staff Parish Relations Committee

Required Skills:
• Proficiency in computers, especially Microsoft Office Suite, MS Publisher, keeping budgets, producing financial reports, and processing payroll. (Preference for PowerChurch knowledge)
• Social media platforms, advertising and church wide group email updates of current happenings.

The Senior Pastor, along with the SPRC, shall evaluate the Administrative Assistant annually. A new employee will be evaluated within 90 days of employment to determine if they fulfill the needs and job description of the church. If new employees do not fulfill the needs and job description of the church within the first 90 days their employment may be terminated.

Salary shall be established by the Staff Parish Relations Committee in coordination with the evaluation.
