Council Clerk

The City of Willoughby Hills is accepting resumes for the position of full time Council Clerk. The Council Clerk is accountable to the President and Vice President of Council and serves as a liaison between Council, Mayor and Administrative Staff. The Council Clerk is appointed by the members of Council and attends all Council meetings and keeps records of all proceedings. The Clerk signs and attests all ordinances, resolutions or other acts of the Council and is the custodian of all official records of the legislative branch. The Council Clerk shall perform all required duties at the Clerk’s Office in City Hall. The hourly pay range for this position is $21.62 to $28.11. This position is eligible for medical benefits. Minimum requirements include local government experience: knowledge of principle, practices and techniques of public administration, city government and city policies. The applicant should also possess strong record management/organizational skills, research methods and report composition. They should also possess strong communication and interpersonal relation skills and be comfortable dealing with the public. Must have a valid State of Ohio driver’s license or evidence of equivalent mobility required.
