City of Kalama is hiring for a Full-time Accounting Clerk position within the utility and finance departments  which requires 2 years of professional customer service experience in the workplace, high school diploma or GED as well as post-secondary education in accounting or business.  Bachelor's degree preferred. Requires excellent math skills, writing and grammatical skills, and the ability to apply deductive reasoning to make decisions.  Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and/or collections is desired.  Governmental accounting experience a plus.  Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential job functions will be considered.  The position is union, 40 hours per week with full-family medical and PERS retirement benefits.
