CDL Drivers, Garage Mechanic and General Labor

Garage/Diesel Mechanic

Mechanic Class B

Must perform basic Pre-Trips on all various rolling stock.
Must perform all necessary paperwork associated with the assigned job, ie (work orders, charge parts out).
Must be able to drive various equipment safely on the lot or into the garage work area.
Must be able to adjust brakes, clutches to FMCSA standards.
Must be able to perform all Category C tasks.
Must be able to change/replace Clutches, pm all various equipment, make or repair Hydraulics or hoses
Must be able to perform work assignments with minimum direction from the lead.
Must be able to perform basic welding functions along with being able to change out a variety of components related to equipment.

Mechanic Class A

Must be able to perform all of the requirements of Category B mechanic.
Must be able to diagnose potential equipment failures along with appropriate repair techniques.
Must be able to weld and fabricate as needed.
Must show leadership potential.
Company-wide safety programs and initiatives.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

Excellent Communication Skills
Able to work with Insite software
In-depth knowledge of Fleet Maintenance Operations or transferable skill-sets from similar industries.
Ability to provide own tools.
2-5 years experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

ASC Certification
Diesel Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Truck Driver CDL- Live Haul- $3,000 Sign-on bonus

Primarily responsible for exercising safe driving practices ensuring their safety and the safety of the public. Responsible for operating commercial motor vehicle transporting live poultry from growers to the processing facility in a safe and secure manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations.
Perform and document pre-trip inspection (i.e. tires, oil, fuel, lights, breaks, hoses, etc.).
Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
Ensure secure load before movement.
Maintain proper documentation (i.e. equipment, time, trips, weight, etc.).
Clean and wash truck as necessary.
Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
Comply with all DOT safety rules and regulations, all company policies, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENT

Minimum 21 years of age.
Valid Class A CDL with 1-year verifiable satisfactory driving record.
Knowledge of Department of Transportation, State and Federal Laws.
Ability to read and write legibly.
Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous live poultry tractor trailer driving experience.
Basic math functions and skills.
Follow Department of Transportation, State and Federal laws, and company safety policies and programs.
Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Experience

Required

Valid Class A CDL with 3 years satisfactory driving history.
