Support Staff

Department: Operations

Reports to: Operations Manager – Local/Short Haul/Support

Primary Function:
Provide support to OTR, short haul, local drivers and entire customer base. Maintain facilities including light housekeeping after hours.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
•    Assist with driver and customer issues promptly and courteously
•    Knowledge of company policies and procedures to promote safety among driving staff
•    Help direct flow of empty equipment to satisfy customer needs
•    Perform general housekeeping duties when needed
•    Issue EFS checks when needed
•    Execute procedures in reference to vehicle accidents and on the job injuries
•    Help drivers with directions when needed 
•    Monitor late deliveries and communicate any and all issues to customers
•    Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
•    Strong communication skills
•    Computer proficient
•    Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
•    Ability to work a flexible schedule 
•    Strong problem solving ability and customer service oriented
Education and Experience:
•    2-Year degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred
•    Business and/or Transportation experience considered

Physical Requirements:
•    Prolonged periods sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer
•    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
