Salary Range: Classification Range $ 3,680 - $5,783 per month(Hiring range depending on qualifications, not anticipated to exceed $3,680 - $4,206 per month)

Time Base: Full Time
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; This is a temporary position to end on or before June 30, 2025, with a possibility of renewal on an annual basis if funds or program needs exist. Occasional early morning, evening and/or weekend hours. Telecommute eligible (work onsite as scheduled and/or as requested and telecommute as scheduled)

About the Position:

The College of Health and Human Development strives to prepare students to thrive in a globalized era in their chosen field. We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Nursing Administrative Support Coordinator. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

The Administrative Support Coordinator plans, coordinates, and executes all administrative and clerical functions for the School of Nursing staff, faculty and students. These duties involve coordinating, prioritizing, and monitoring these tasks through completion including accountability for results. Coordinates various School of Nursing events, which include ensuring room/space reservations, creation of event materials, record keeping of event attendees, setup, decoration, coordinating all appropriate vendors, and making sure any forms are completed. Performs day-to-day work independently under minimal supervision and applies policies and procedures as required. Serves as the point person for numerous outside vendors and internal departments. Manages assignments and projects that are varied and complex, such as coordinating various School of Nursing events, coordinating various School of Nursing communications, which includes fundraising activities, newsletters, websites, and other forms of communications, handles variety of administrative/clerical duties. Other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
High School diploma or the equivalent and four years of progressively responsible experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Thorough knowledge of office systems with the ability to use a range of technology, systems and software packages. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to apply a variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to perform standard business math including calculating ratios and percentages, tracking financial data, and making simple projections. Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports. Ability to handle effectively a broad range of interpersonal contacts including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in coordinating events. Experience in managing some aspects of communications, such as websites, newsletters, and social media. Have the knowledge and skills in standard office procedures and practices, as well as the ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Able to quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages. Experience in working in an academic environment. Experience working in a team-oriented office environment. Strong initiative and the ability to work and solve problems independently. Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent computer skills with strong experience in Word and Excel.
