DESCRIPTION:
Coordinates the process and administration of CCC&TI scholarships to include application development, reconciliation with Financial Aid, award notifications and donor reports. Communicates scholarship opportunities to students, faculty and staff, and the public. Oversees selection of Dream Award and Bernhardt Scholar recipients and assists with appropriate programs and services for each. Assists Foundation Executive Director with development of CCC&TI alumni program, various events and activities.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Essential responsibilities and other duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions:
1.Manage all areas of scholarships and Foundation sponsorships to include endowments, Continuing Education, General Scholarship funds, College and Career Readiness, and ambassador tuition stipends
2.Work with Marketing to advertise scholarship opportunities within the college and community, and the public schools through transition advisors and counselors
3.Correspond with applicants and conduct workshops to ensure completion of scholarship application(s); serve as point of contact for inquiries
4.Work with CCC&TI Scholarship Committee to ensure appropriate selection process with dissemination of applications and spreadsheet with breakdown of scholarships and applicants
5.Coordinate scholarship awards and reconcile with Financial Aid; confirm accuracy and funds to process invoices from the college to the Foundation
6.Prepare official award letters or emails to students and collect donor thank you notes.
7.Prepare annual donor reports to communicate funds, recipient information and thank-you notes
8.Perform scholarship analysis for various grants and reports
9.Maintain all scholarship records and assist with information for auditor
10.Help promote the Foundation through testimonials from scholarship recipients
11.Plan and organize donor luncheon/dinner events with recipients
12.Coordinate the Dream Selection Committee to include communication with principals and counselors at each school; conduct meetings in Caldwell and Watauga counties; arrange for presenters for Awards Days and work to disseminate packets and framed certificates
13.Assist TRIO with communication of activities and services for Dream students
14.Coordinate Bernhardt luncheons, events, etc. with mentors and students; prepare annual Bernhardt reports and track recipients and graduates; assist with selection of recipients and mentors
15.Present scholarships and arrange for publicity as requested
16.Maintain up-to-date files of fund authorities and donor information
17.Assist with coordination of Dream Award Ceremony
18.Assist in the development of an Alumni Association to coordinate events, develop and manage giving opportunities, and maintain database of graduates.
Marginal Functions:
1.Performs other duties as assigned that support the mission and initiatives of the college.

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Knowledge of:

Environmental Conditions: The employee should have the ability to effectively handle a work environment and conditions which involve an office and classroom workspace, working closely with others, and periodically working irregular hours.
The employee must maintain the office and teaching environments by maintaining equipment and supplies, ensuring overall cleanliness, functionality, and conformance to OSHA standards to provide a safe work environment.
Physical Conditions: Physical and marginal functions require the ability to maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following; standing, walking or sitting for extended periods, moderate lifting and carrying, general manual dexterity, operating assigned equipment, and extended exposure to computer screens.
The employee is required to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, reading and writing, operating assigned equipment, communicating with others, and handling varied tasks simultaneously.
Additionally, the employee must maintain mental capacity, which permits making sound decisions and using good judgment, demonstrating intellectual capabilities, and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and personnel.
Scheduling Conditions: This is a full-time 12-month position working 40 hours a week, generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Availability for both day and occasional evening or weekend work on any Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute site (or arranged off-campus site) is required, with some flexibility in scheduling.
Traveling Conditions: Local travel between the Caldwell campus, Watauga campus, or any off-campus sites, may be needed. Out of state travel is limited, but may be required for training and conferences.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; minimum of three years of related full-time, professional experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience in higher education preferred
