Upholsterer & Frame Builders for furniture manufacturing
An upholsterer will construct or repair upholstered furniture by covering the furniture frame with materials such as leather, cotton or suede.
Responsibilities:
Attaches fabric/leather to the arms, backs, seats and outside backs to wooden frames using a compressed air staple gun.
This job requires continuous stapling with one hand while pulling the material with the other hand to complete the sofa, loveseat, chair or ottoman according to specifications.
Physical requirements are standing all day, bending, occasionally may have to lift 80 to 100 pounds.
Follow all safety procedures while performing the position
Qualifications/Skills
6 months or more of experience working as an upholsterer in a production setting
Ability to work well in a team oriented environment
Must be 18 years of age or older
