Established in 1971 in Statesville, North Carolina. The company was purchased by brothers Jerry and Bill Carr in 1984, who in 1994 launched the successful Badger Sport brand you know today. In 2016 the company was acquired by CCMP Capital. Now operating under the name Founder Sport Group, they have acquired Alleson Athletic, Garb Athletics, and Teamwork Athletic Apparel. The combined strengths of these brands enable Founder Sport Group to offer team dealers, decorators, wholesale distributors and collegiate bookstores a host of benefits – including superior quality, rapid fulfillment, leading custom sublimation capabilities and an expansive selection of team uniform and fan apparel. Founder Sport Group brings together nearly 150 years of collective experience to better outfit teams, players, family and fans. Together we’re smarter, stronger, more efficient and endlessly innovative. From the field to the stands, and at every practice along the way, Founder Sport Group makes authentic quality apparel accessible at the speed of sport. The Founder Sport Group has taken the field. And we’re taking the world of sport apparel further than ever before. Here in Statesville we are improving and innovating our facility. We have redesigned our warehouse and distribution facility to optimize efficiencies and productivity. Our employee break room has been given a complete facelift with new furniture, many new appliances and convenient fresh market food available for purchase. And we have also recently completely updated our entire facility technology systems which has allowed us to increase our productivity and speed up our order processing.
