JOB SUMMARY:

The College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University invites qualified candidates to apply for a Full-Time Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in the graduate program to begin in August 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Teaching: 18 credits/year. Teaching responsibilities within the nurse practitioner and DNP program primarily; however, all faculty may be required to teach across programs (BS, MS, DNP, PhD)

2. Maintaining an active research agenda.

3. Actively participate in College of Nursing and Public Health and University committees, and contribute to Adelphi University's mission and strategic plan.

4. Student advisement.

5. Assist with administrative activities based on candidate skills.

6. Perform other duties as assigned.

7. Service activities include department, college and university level.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A master's degree in nursing.

2. Research doctorate in nursing (PhD, DNS) or education (EdD) is required.

3. Licensure and national board certification as an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner.

4. A NYS RN and NP license or eligible for licensure in New York State.

5. Relevant clinical nursing experience

6. Experience in simulation technology, online or blended learning, research, and education.

8. Academic experiences with culturally diverse populations preferred.

9. Interest in developing and implementing curricula related to culturally diverse populations.

10. Experience with a variety of teaching methods.

11. Experience in our other graduate offerings (statistics, research design, education,) as well as curriculum development and implementation across all areas

SALARY INFORMATION:

In compliance with New York's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $94,000. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
